The Faithful Shall Escape to Israel

Over the last six months my studies have led me to consider the fact that there is a  significant part of the end time’s story that is not being taught in churches and seminaries  today. I know most churches teach a pre-trib rapture position. In my studies the strongest  argument for pre-trib is Noah and Lot both being rescued, just in time before disaster. While I do not subscribe to the pre-trib position my studies have led me to believe there  will be a path of escape for believers during the days of Jacob’s trouble. In my previous  study I mentioned that I consider the New Testament to have the order of events of what is  to come, but the Old Testament has the vast majority of chapters and verses. The New  Testament is abbreviated like a code book to decipher the order of events. For the rest of  this lesson I will color my comments in blue and the Bible verses in black. Here is the first  New Testament verse; (all verses are NASB)

Hebrews 11:21

21By faith Jacob, as he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph,  and worshiped, leaning on the top of his staff.

Although I had read this many times I never stopped to think why the author of Hebrews under  Godly inspiration picked this to say about the Patriarch Jacob-Israel. Wouldn’t it have made  more sense to mention Judah’s blessing since Jesus Christ came from that tribe? So I went to the  passage in Genesis to read about this blessing.

Genesis 48:19But his father refused and said, “I know, my son, I know; he also will  become a people and he also will be great. However, his younger brother shall be greater  than he, and his descendants shall become a multitude of nations.”

Now correct me if I am wrong but were not the sons of Israel divided by tribes and the  word nations normally used to refer to Gentile nations? Also Ephraim goes from a singular  tribe to multitude of nations. What is this all about? I will give credit to Monte Judah who  authored a book The Greater Exodus that got me thinking and studying this topic. I know  this is the first time many of you have heard or read what I am about to share; please do  not reject it because it is new and different. If you find error in what I am writing by all  means contact me and show me the Truth, I am a truth seeker and want to be as accurate  as possible in discerning the Bible and future events.

Jeremiah 16:14-16

14 “Therefore behold, days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when it will no  longer be said, ‘As the LORD lives, who brought up the sons of Israel out of  the land of Egypt,’15 but, ‘As the LORD lives, who brought up the sons of  Israel from the land of the north and from all the countries where He had  banished them.’ For I will restore them to their own land which I gave to  their fathers.16 “Behold, I am going to send for many fishermen,” declares  the LORD, “and they will fish for them; and afterwards I will send for many

hunters, and they will hunt them from every mountain and every hill and  from the clefts of the rocks.

Who are the hunters hunting for?

There is a lot in these verses from Jeremiah. Monte Judah says this describes a Greater Exodus in  verses 14-15. I agree, instead of Israel going from Egypt to Israel they will now come from over  100 countries to Israel. Looking at verse 16 I am reminded of Matthew 4:19 when Jesus first  called His disciples to be fishers of men. (Was Jesus intentionally linking the disciples to this  verse in Jeremiah?) Thinking outside the box as I often do, I consider it possible that the “many  hunters” could possibly be the 144,000 of Revelations 7:4-8. To my mind this placing of 12  fishermen first and 144,000 hunters last is a very balanced and orderly action very like what God  has done before 12x12x1,000. Similar words are used in Jeremiah 23:7-8, 31:8-10 and 32:37,  God repeated this message therefore it is important. I used to consider all of these verses to be  Millennial but with further study suspect this gathering of all of Israel to Israel happens when the  144,000 are called. My belief is that only Christians and believing Jews can make up the  144,000, and since 10 of 13 tribes have been dispersed among all the nations many Christians are  unknowingly children of Israel.

Deuteronomy 30:1-14

“So it shall be when all of these things have come upon you, the blessing  and the curse which I have set before you, and you call them to mind in all  nations where the LORD your God has banished you,2and you return to  the LORD your God and obey Him with all your heart and soul according to all  that I command you today, you and your sons, 3then the LORD your God  will restore you from captivity, and have compassion on you, and will gather  you again from all the peoples where the LORD your God has scattered  you. 4If your outcasts are at the ends of the earth, from there the LORD your  God will gather you, and from there He will bring you back. 5The LORD your  God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall  possess it; and He will prosper you and multiply you more than your fathers.

6“Moreover the LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of  your descendants, to love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all  your soul, so that you may live. 7The LORD your God will inflict all these  curses on your enemies and on those who hate you, who persecuted you. 8And you shall again obey the LORD, and observe all His commandments  which I command you today. 9Then the LORD your God will prosper you

abundantly in all the work of your hand, in the offspring of your body and in  the offspring of your cattle and in the produce of your ground, for the  LORD will again rejoice over you for good, just as He rejoiced over your  fathers; 10 if you obey the LORD your God to keep His commandments and His  statutes which are written in this book of the law, if you turn to  the LORD your God with all your heart and soul.

11 “For this commandment which I command you today is not too difficult for  you, nor is it out of reach. 12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who  will go up to heaven for us to get it for us and make us hear it, that we may  observe it?’ 13Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will cross  the sea for us to get it for us and make us hear it, that we may observe  it?’ 14But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that  you may observe it.

Seems to me Moses or God knew that the Israelites were going to fail and their descendants  would be scattered. Then in verse 5 this refers to all of Israel coming home not just Judah. Next  we see more verses referring to a re-gathering to Israel.

Isaiah 49:1-23 Listen to Me, O islands,

And pay attention, you peoples from afar.

The LORD called Me from the womb;

From the body of My mother He named Me.

2 He has made My mouth like a sharp sword,

In the shadow of His hand He has concealed Me;

And He has also made Me a select arrow,

He has hidden Me in His quiver.

3 He said to Me, “You are My Servant, Israel,

In Whom I will show My glory.”

4 But I said, “I have toiled in vain,

I have spent My strength for nothing and vanity;

Yet surely the justice due to Me is with the LORD,

And My reward with My God.”

5 And now says the LORD, who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant, To bring Jacob back to Him, so that Israel might be gathered to Him (Messiah Jesus) (For I am honored in the sight of the LORD,

And My God is My strength),

6 He says, “It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant

To raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; (the remnant) I will also make You a light of the nations (Gentiles)

So that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”

7Thus says the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel and its Holy One, To the despised One,

To the One abhorred by the nation,

To the Servant of rulers,

“Kings will see and arise,

Princes will also bow down,

Because of the LORD who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel who has chosen You.” 8Thus says the LORD,

“In a favorable time I have answered You,

And in a day of salvation I have helped You;

And I will keep You and give You for a covenant of the people, To restore the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritages; (When?) 9Saying to those who are bound, ‘Go forth,’

To those who are in darkness, ‘Show yourselves.’

Along the roads they will feed,

And their pasture will be on all bare heights.

10 “They will not hunger or thirst,

Nor will the scorching heat or sun strike them down;

For He who has compassion on them will lead them

And will guide them to springs of water.

11 “I will make all My mountains a road,

And My highways will be raised up.

12 “Behold, these will come from afar;

And lo, these will come from the north and from the west, (similar to Jer. 16:14-15) And these from the land of Sinim.” (May be China)

13 Shout for joy, O heavens! And rejoice, O earth!

Break forth into joyful shouting, O mountains!

For the LORD has comforted His people (Could this be both Jews and Christians?) And will have compassion on His afflicted.

14But Zion said, “The LORD has forsaken me,

And the Lord has forgotten me.”

15 “Can a woman forget her nursing child

And have no compassion on the son of her womb?

Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.

16 “Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;

Your walls are continually before Me.

17 “Your builders hurry;

Your destroyers and devastators

Will depart from you.

18 “Lift up your eyes and look around;

All of them gather together, they come to you.

As I live,” declares the LORD,

“You will surely put on all of them as jewels and bind them on as a bride. 19 “For your waste and desolate places and your destroyed land— Surely now you will be too cramped for the inhabitants, (we will have to live in tents) And those who swallowed you will be far away.

20 “The children of whom you were bereaved will yet say in your ears, ‘The place is too cramped for me; Wow! That is a lot of people!

Make room for me that I may live here.’

21 “Then you will say in your heart,

‘Who has begotten these for me,

Since I have been bereaved of my children

And am barren, an exile and a wanderer?

And who has reared these?

Behold, I was left alone;

From where did these come?’”

22 Thus says the Lord GOD,

“Behold, I will lift up My hand to the nations (Gentiles, Christians) And set up My standard to the peoples;

And they will bring your sons in their bosom,

And your daughters will be carried on their shoulders.

23 “Kings will be your guardians,

And their princesses your nurses.

They will bow down to you with their faces to the earth

And lick the dust of your feet;

And you will know that I am the LORD;

Those who hopefully wait for Me will not be put to shame.

Ezekiel 20:23

23 Also I swore to them in the wilderness that I would scatter them among the nations and  disperse them among the lands, Another verse on God’s scattering of Israel

Ezekial 16: 60-63

60 “Nevertheless, I will remember My covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will  establish an everlasting covenant with you. 61 Then you will remember your ways and be  ashamed when you receive your sisters, both your older and your younger; and I will give them  to you as daughters, but not because of your covenant. 62 Thus I will establish My covenant with  you, and you shall know that I am the LORD,63 so that you may remember and be ashamed and  never open your mouth anymore because of your humiliation, when I have forgiven you for all  that you have done,” the Lord GOD declares. This is an odd verse; earlier in the same chapter  God speaks harshly to Jerusalem saying she is more of a harlot than the older sister Samaria, and  her younger sister Sodom. In comparing it to the Isaiah 49: 22-23 verses could it be the believing  Gentiles are made to be sisters with the Jews, God giving them to the Jews as lost children? Is  there another time where this has happened previously? Or is this part of the end times? Is the  “but not because of your covenant.” in vs 61 a reference that these redeemed gentile believers  have their own covenant?

Ezekiel 20:33-44 God Will Restore Israel to Her Land more on gathering

 33 “As I live,” declares the Lord GOD, “surely with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm  and with wrath poured out, I shall be king over you. 34 I will bring you out from the peoples and  gather you from the lands where you are scattered, with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm and with wrath poured out; 35 and I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and  there I will enter into judgment with you face to face. 36 As I entered into judgment with your  fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will enter into judgment with you,” declares  the Lord GOD.37 “I will make you pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the  covenant; 38 and I will purge from you the rebels and those who transgress against Me; I will  bring them out of the land where they sojourn, but they will not enter the land of Israel. Thus you  will know that I am the LORD.

39 “As for you, O house of Israel,” thus says the Lord GOD, “Go, serve everyone his idols; but  later you will surely listen to Me, and My holy name you will profane no longer with your gifts  and with your idols. 40 For on My holy mountain, on the high mountain of Israel,” declares the  Lord GOD, “there the whole house of Israel, all of them, will serve Me in the land; there I will  accept them and there I will seek your contributions and the choicest of your gifts, with all your  holy things. 41 As a soothing aroma I will accept you when I bring you out from the peoples and  gather you from the lands where you are scattered; and I will prove Myself holy among you in  the sight of the nations. 42 And you will know that I am the LORD, when I bring you into the land  of Israel, into the land which I swore to give to your forefathers. 43 There you will remember  your ways and all your deeds with which you have defiled yourselves; and you will loathe  yourselves in your own sight for all the evil things that you have done. 44 Then you will know

that I am the LORD when I have dealt with you for My name’s sake, not according to your evil  ways or according to your corrupt deeds, O house of Israel,” declares the Lord GOD.’”

Ezekiel 37 Vision of the Valley of Dry Bones

The hand of the LORD was upon me, and He brought me out by the Spirit of  the LORD and set me down in the middle of the valley; and it was full of  bones. 2He caused me to pass among them round about, and behold, there  were very many on the surface of the valley; and lo, they were very dry. 3He  said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “O  Lord GOD, You know.” 4Again He said to me, “Prophesy over these bones and  say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.’ 5Thus says the  Lord GOD to these bones, ‘Behold, I will cause breath to enter you that you  may come to life. 6I will put sinews on you, make flesh grow back on you,  cover you with skin and put breath in you that you may come alive; and you  will know that I am the LORD.’”

7So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was  a noise, and behold, a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to its  bone. 8And I looked, and behold, sinews were on them, and flesh grew and  skin covered them; but there was no breath in them. 9Then He said to me,  “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus  says the Lord GOD, “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on  these slain, that they come to life.”’” 10So I prophesied as He commanded  me, and the breath came into them, and they came to life and stood on their  feet, an exceedingly great army.

11Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of  Israel; behold, they say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope has perished.  We are [e]completely cut off.’ 12Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus  says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I will open your graves and cause you to come  up out of your graves, My people; and I will bring you into the land of  Israel. 13Then you will know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your  graves and caused you to come up out of your graves, My people. 14 I will put  My Spirit within you and you will come to life, and I will place you on your

own land. Then you will know that I, the LORD, have spoken and done it,”  declares the LORD.’”

Reunion of Judah and Israel Note Ephraim can be a symbol of the lost tribes

15The word of the LORD came again to me saying, 16 “And you, son of man,  take for yourself one stick and write on it, ‘For Judah and for the sons of  Israel, his companions’; then take another stick and write on it, ‘For Joseph,  the stick of Ephraim and all the house of Israel, his companions.’ 17Then join  them for yourself one to another into one stick, that they may become one  in your hand. 18When the sons of your people speak to you saying, ‘Will you  not declare to us what you mean by these?’19 say to them, ‘Thus says the  Lord GOD, “Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of  Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel, his companions; and I will put them with  it, with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they will be one in  My hand.”’ 20The sticks on which you write will be in your hand before their  eyes. 21Say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I will take the sons of  Israel from among the nations where they have gone, and I will gather them  from every side and bring them into their own land; 22and I will make  them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king will be  king for all of them; and they will no longer be two nations and no longer be  divided into two kingdoms. 23They will no longer defile themselves with their  idols, or with their detestable things, or with any of their transgressions; but  I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned,  and will cleanse them. And they will be My people, and I will be their God.

24 “My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one  shepherd; and they will walk in My ordinances and keep My statutes and  observe them. 25They will live on the land that I gave to Jacob My servant, in  which your fathers lived; and they will live on it, they, and their sons and  their sons’ sons, forever; and David My servant will be their prince  forever. 26 I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting  covenant with them. And I will place them and multiply them, and will set  My sanctuary in their midst forever. 27 My dwelling place also will be with  them; and I will be their God, and they will be My people. 28And the nations  will know that I am the LORD who sanctifies Israel, when My sanctuary is in  their midst forever.”’”

John 10:14-16 Is Jesus referring to Ez 37:15-28 in these verses?

 14 I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me, 15 even as the Father  knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. 16 I have other sheep,  which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will

become one flock with one shepherd. Could the house of Ephraim be a code word for the  Christian remnant?

Ezekiel 34 The Restoration of Israel

11 For thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out. 12 As a shepherd cares for his herd in the day when he is among his scattered sheep, so I will care  for My sheep and will deliver them from all the places to which they were scattered on a cloudy  and gloomy day. 13 I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries and  bring them to their own land; and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the streams, and  in all the inhabited places of the land. 14 I will feed them in a good pasture, and their grazing  ground will be on the mountain heights of Israel. There they will lie down on good grazing  ground and feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel. 15 I will feed My flock and I will lead  them to rest,” declares the Lord GOD.16 “I will seek the lost, bring back the scattered, bind up the  broken and strengthen the sick; but the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them with  judgment.

 17 “As for you, My flock, thus says the Lord GOD, ‘Behold, I will judge between one sheep and  another, between the rams and the male goats. 18 Is it too slight a thing for you that you should  feed in the good pasture, that you must tread down with your feet the rest of your pastures? Or

that you should drink of the clear waters, that you must foul the rest with your feet? 19 As for My  flock, they must eat what you tread down with your feet and drink what you foul with your  feet!’”

20 Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD to them, “Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat  sheep and the lean sheep. 21 Because you push with side and with shoulder, and thrust at all the  weak with your horns until you have scattered them abroad, 22 therefore, I will deliver My flock,  and they will no longer be a prey; and I will judge between one sheep and another.

23 “Then I will set over them one shepherd, My servant David, and he will feed them; he will  feed them himself and be their shepherd. 24 And I, the LORD, will be their God, and My servant  David will be prince among them; I the LORD have spoken.

25 “I will make a covenant of peace with them and eliminate harmful beasts from the land so that  they may live securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods. 26 I will make them and the  places around My hill a blessing. And I will cause showers to come down in their season; they  will be showers of blessing. 27 Also the tree of the field will yield its fruit and the earth will yield  its increase, and they will be secure on their land. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when  I have broken the bars of their yoke and have delivered them from the hand of those who  enslaved them. 28 They will no longer be a prey to the nations, and the beasts of the earth will not  devour them; but they will live securely, and no one will make them afraid. 29 I will establish for them a renowned planting place, and they will not again be victims of famine in the land, and  they will not endure the insults of the nations anymore. 30 Then they will know that I, the LORD their God, am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are My people,” declares the Lord GOD.31 “As for you, My sheep, the sheep of My pasture, you are men, and I am your God,”  declares the Lord GOD. Although I still interpret the finish of this as being during the  Millennium, the beginning of gathering and feeding the sheep on the mountains of Israel could  be during the days of Jacob’s trouble. Then there will be restoration further when Jesus reigns.

Ezekiel 39:23-29

23The nations will know that the house of Israel went into exile for  their iniquity because they acted treacherously against Me, and I hid My face  from them; so I gave them into the hand of their adversaries, and all of  them fell by the sword. 24According to their uncleanness and according to  their transgressions I dealt with them, and I hid My face from them.”’”

Israel Restored

25Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, “Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob  and have mercy on the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for My  holy name.26They will forget their disgrace and all their treachery which  they perpetrated against Me, when they live securely on their own land  with no one to make them afraid.27When I bring them back from the peoples  and gather them from the lands of their enemies, then I shall  be sanctified through them in the sight of the many nations.28Then they will  know that I am the LORD their God because I made them go into exile  among the nations, and then gathered them again to their own land; and I  will leave none of them there any longer. 29 I will not hide My face from them  any longer, for I will have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel,”  declares the Lord GOD. (see also Ezekiel 36:1-24)

Jeremiah 31:6 watchmen are prophets, let’s go to Israel! Where is  Ephraim today? Are these the 144,000?

6“For there will be a day when watchmen

On the hills of Ephraim call out,

‘Arise, and let us go up to Zion,

To the LORD our God.’”

Jeremiah 31:9

9“With weeping they will come,

And by supplication I will lead them;

I will make them walk by streams of waters,

On a straight path in which they will not stumble;

For I am a father to Israel,

And Ephraim is My firstborn.” How can Ephraim be the firstborn! Unless this  refers to the Christians made one with Jesus Christ the firstborn!

Jeremiah 31:18

18 “I have surely heard Ephraim grieving,

‘You have chastised me, and I was chastised,

Like an untrained calf;

Bring me back that I may be restored, When?

For You are the LORD my God.

Jeremiah 31:20

20 “Is Ephraim My dear son?

Is he a delightful child?

Indeed, as often as I have spoken against him,

I certainly still remember him;

Therefore My heart yearns for him;

I will surely have mercy on him,” declares the LORD. When?

Isaiah 11:13

13Then the jealousy of Ephraim will depart,

And those who harass Judah will be cut off;

Ephraim will not be jealous of Judah,

And Judah will not harass Ephraim. Like 2 estranged brothers reuniting

Isaiah 43:1-8 Israel’s Only Savior

43 But now, this is what the LORD says—

 he who created you, Jacob,

 he who formed you, Israel:

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;

 I have summoned you by name; you are mine.

2 When you pass through the waters,

 I will be with you;

and when you pass through the rivers,

 they will not sweep over you.

When you walk through the fire,

 you will not be burned;

 the flames will not set you ablaze.

3For I am the LORD your God,

 the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;

I give Egypt for your ransom,

 Cush and Seba in your stead.

4Since you are precious and honored in my sight,

 and because I love you,

I will give people in exchange for you,

 nations in exchange for your life.

5 Do not be afraid, for I am with you;

 I will bring your children from the east

 and gather you from the west.

6I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’

 and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’

Bring my sons from afar

 and my daughters from the ends of the earth—

7everyone who is called by my name, Christians and Jews  whom I created for my glory,

 whom I formed and made.”

8Lead out those who have eyes but are blind,

 who have ears but are deaf. Jews? From Isaiah’s words?

Isaiah 46:8-11

8“Remember this, and be assured;

Recall it to mind, you transgressors.

9“Remember the former things long past,

For I am God, and there is no other;

I am God, and there is no one like Me,

10Declaring the end from the beginning,

And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, ‘My purpose will be established,

And I will accomplish all My good pleasure’; 11Calling a bird of prey from the east,

The man of My purpose from a far country.

Truly I have spoken; truly I will bring it to pass.

 I have planned it, surely I will do it. We serve the God of eternity what He says will  happen will come to pass 100% of the time. See also

Isaiah 50:1-3

Thus says the LORD, “Where is the certificate of divorce

By which I have sent your mother away? (God has not divorced Israel) Or to whom of My creditors did I sell you?

Behold, you were sold for your iniquities,

And for your transgressions your mother was sent away. 2“Why was there no man when I came?

When I called, why was there none to answer?

Is My hand so short that it cannot ransom?

Or have I no power to deliver?

Behold, I dry up the sea with My rebuke,

I make the rivers a wilderness;

Their fish stink for lack of water

And die of thirst.

3“I clothe the heavens with blackness

And make sackcloth their covering.”

Isaiah 52:7-12

7How lovely on the mountains

Are the feet of him who brings good news,

Who announces peace

And brings good news of happiness,

Who announces salvation,

And says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

8 Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices,

They shout joyfully together;

For they will see with their own eyes

When the LORD restores Zion.

9Break forth, shout joyfully together,

You waste places of Jerusalem;

For the LORD has comforted His people,

He has redeemed Jerusalem.

10The LORD has bared His holy arm

In the sight of all the nations,

That all the ends of the earth may see

The salvation of our God.

11Depart, depart, go out from there, Is this when we follow the 144,000? Touch nothing unclean;

Go out of the midst of her, purify yourselves,

You who carry the vessels of the LORD.

12But you will not go out in haste,

Nor will you go as fugitives;

For the LORD will go before you,

And the God of Israel will be your rear guard. In Rev 18:4 it says “Come out of her,  my people, that you may not participate in her sins…” When do these things take place?

Jeremiah 23:7-8

7“Therefore behold, the days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when they will  no longer say, ‘As the LORD lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the  land of Egypt,’ 8but, ‘As the LORD lives, who brought up and led back the  descendants of the household of Israel from the north land and from all the  countries where I had driven them.’ Then they will live on their own soil.”

See how often this message is repeated, it is important!

Jeremiah 29:10-14

 10 “For thus says the LORD, ‘When seventy years have been completed for  Babylon, I will visit you and fulfill My good word to you, to bring you back to  this place. 11For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD,  ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and  a hope. 12Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I  will listen to you. 13You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me  with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,’ declares the LORD, ‘and I  will restore your fortunes and will gather you from all the nations and from  all the places where I have driven you,’ declares the LORD, ‘and I will bring  you back to the place from where I sent you into exile.’ Could this have a  second or greater fulfillment?

Ezekiel 14:13-23

13 “Son of man, if a country sins against Me by committing unfaithfulness,  and I stretch out My hand against it, [a]destroy its supply of bread, send famine against it and cut off from it both man and beast, 14even though these three men, Noah, Daniel and Job were in its  midst, by their own righteousness they could only deliver themselves,”  declares the Lord GOD.15 “If I were to cause wild beasts to pass through the  land and they depopulated it, and it became desolate so that no one would  pass through it because of the beasts, 16 though these three men were in its  midst, as I live,” declares the Lord GOD, “they could not deliver  either their sons or their daughters. They alone would be delivered, but the  country would be desolate. 17Or if I should bring a sword on that country and  say, ‘Let the sword pass through the country and cut off man and beast from  it,’ 18even though these three men were in its midst, as I live,” declares the  Lord GOD, “they could not deliver either their sons or their daughters, but  they alone would be delivered. 19Or if I should send a plague against that  country and pour out My wrath in blood on it to cut off man and beast from  it, 20even though Noah, Daniel and Job were in its midst, as I live,” declares  the Lord GOD, “they could not deliver either their son or their daughter. They  would deliver only themselves by their righteousness.”

21For thus says the Lord GOD, “How much more when I send My four severe  judgments against Jerusalem: sword, famine, wild beasts and plague to cut  off man and beast from it! 22Yet, behold, survivors will be left in it who will  be brought out, both sons and daughters. Behold, they are going to come  forth to you and you will see their conduct and actions; then you will  be comforted for the calamity which I have brought against Jerusalem for  everything which I have brought upon it. 23Then they will comfort you when  you see their conduct and actions, for you will know that I have not done in  vain whatever I did to it,” declares the Lord GOD. Ezekiel 28:25-26 Israel Regathered When does this occur?

25 ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “When I gather the house of Israel from the peoples  among whom they are scattered, and will manifest My holiness in them in the sight  of the nations, then they will live in their land which I gave to My servant Jacob. 26 They will live in it securely; and they will build houses, plant vineyards and live  securely when I execute judgments upon all who scorn them round about them.  Then they will know that I am the LORD their God.”’”

Zephaniah 3:12-20

12 “But I will leave among you

A humble and lowly people,

And they will take refuge in the name of the LORD. 13 “The remnant of Israel will do no wrong

And tell no lies,

Nor will a deceitful tongue

Be found in their mouths;

For they will feed and lie down

With no one to make them tremble.”

14Shout for joy, O daughter of Zion!

Shout in triumph, O Israel!

Rejoice and exult with all your heart,

O daughter of Jerusalem!

15The LORD has taken away His judgments against you, He has cleared away your enemies.

The King of Israel, the LORD, is in your midst;

You will fear disaster no more.

16 In that day it will be said to Jerusalem:

“Do not be afraid, O Zion;

Do not let your hands fall limp.

17 “The LORD your God is in your midst,

A victorious warrior.

He will exult over you with joy,

He will be quiet in His love,

He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.

18 “I will gather those who grieve about the appointed feasts— They came from you, O Zion;

The reproach of exile is a burden on them.

19 “Behold, I am going to deal at that time

With all your oppressors,

I will save the lame

And gather the outcast,

And I will turn their shame into praise and renown

In all the earth.

20 “At that time I will bring you in,

Even at the time when I gather you together; a great re-gathering? Indeed, I will give you renown and praise

Among all the peoples of the earth,

When I restore your fortunes before your eyes,”

Says the LORD.

Deuteronomy 4:27-31

27The LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be left few in  number among the nations where the LORD drives you. 28There you will serve  gods, the work of man’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see nor hear  nor eat nor smell. 29But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you  will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your  soul. 30When you are in distress and all these things have come upon you, in  the latter days you will return to the LORD your God and listen to His  voice. 31For the LORD your God is a compassionate God; He will not fail you  nor destroy you nor forget the covenant with your fathers which He swore to  them. In the latter days he remembers the covenant and restores Israel Zechariah 9:9-17

9Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!

Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem!

Behold, your king is coming to you;

He is just and endowed with salvation,

Humble, and mounted on a donkey,

Even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

10 I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim

And the horse from Jerusalem;

And the bow of war will be cut off.

And He will speak peace to the nations;

And His dominion will be from sea to sea,

And from the River to the ends of the earth.

Deliverance of Judah and Ephraim

11As for you also, because of the blood of My covenant with you, I have set your prisoners free from the waterless pit. 12Return to the stronghold, O prisoners who have the hope; This very day I am declaring that I will restore double to you. 13For I will bend Judah as My bow,

I will fill the bow with Ephraim. Again both Judah and Ephraim! And I will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece; And I will make you like a warrior’s sword.

14Then the LORD will appear over them,

And His arrow will go forth like lightning;

And the Lord GOD will blow the trumpet,

And will march in the storm winds of the south.

15The LORD of hosts will defend them.

And they will devour and trample on the sling stones; And they will drink and be boisterous as with wine; And they will be filled like a sacrificial basin,

Drenched like the corners of the altar.

16And the LORD their God will save them in that day As the flock of His people;

For they are as the stones of a crown,

Sparkling in His land.

17For what [j]comeliness and beauty will be theirs!

Grain will make the young men flourish, and new wine the virgins.

Zechariah 10:6-12

6“I will strengthen the house of Judah,

And I will save the house of Joseph, a symbol of Ephraim And I will bring them back, Both are coming back! Because I have had compassion on them;

And they will be as though I had not rejected them, For I am the LORD their God and I will answer them. 7“Ephraim will be like a mighty man,

And their heart will be glad as if from wine;

Indeed, their children will see it and be glad,

Their heart will rejoice in the LORD.

8“I will whistle for them to gather them together,

For I have redeemed them;

And they will be as numerous as they [c]were before. 9“When I [scatter them among the peoples,

They will remember Me in far countries,

And they with their children will live and come back. 10 “I will bring them back from the land of Egypt

And gather them from Assyria;

And I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon Until no room can be found for them. Again this is a great gathering 11 “And they will pass through the sea of distress

And He will strike the waves in the sea,

So that all the depths of the Nile will dry up;

And the pride of Assyria will be brought down

And the scepter of Egypt will depart.

12 “And I will strengthen them in the LORD,

And in His name they will walk,” declares the LORD.

Micah 5:7-9

7Then the remnant of Jacob

Will be among many peoples

Like dew from the LORD,

Like showers on vegetation

Which do not wait for man

Or delay for the sons of men.

8The remnant of Jacob

Will be among the nations, Gentiles?

Among many peoples

Like a lion among the beasts of the forest,

Like a young lion among flocks of sheep,

Which, if he passes through,

Tramples down and tears,

And there is none to rescue.

9 Your hand will be lifted up against your adversaries,

And all your enemies will be cut off.

Deuteronomy 32:1-47 The Song of Moses “Give ear, O heavens, and let me speak;

And let the earth hear the words of my mouth. 2“Let my teaching drop as the rain,

My speech distill as the dew,

As the droplets on the fresh grass

And as the showers on the herb.

3“For I proclaim the name of the LORD;

Ascribe greatness to our God!

4“The Rock! His work is perfect,

For all His ways are just;

A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright is He.

5“They have acted corruptly toward Him,

They are not His children, because of their defect; But are a perverse and crooked generation. 6“Do you thus repay the LORD,

O foolish and unwise people?

Is not He your Father who has bought you? He has made you and established you.

7“Remember the days of old,

Consider the years of all generations.

Ask your father, and he will inform you,

Your elders, and they will tell you.

8“When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, When He separated the sons of [c]man,

He set the boundaries of the peoples

According to the number of the sons of Israel. 9“For the LORD’S portion is His people;

Jacob is the allotment of His inheritance.

10 “He found him in a desert land,

And in the howling waste of a wilderness;

He encircled him, He cared for him,

He guarded him as the pupil of His eye.

11 “Like an eagle that stirs up its nest,

That hovers over its young,

He spread His wings and caught them,

He carried them on His pinions.

12 “The LORD alone guided him,

And there was no foreign god with him.

13 “He made him ride on the high places of the earth, And he ate the produce of the field;

And He made him suck honey from the rock, And oil from the flinty rock,

14Curds of cows, and milk of the flock,

With fat of lambs,

And rams, the breed of Bashan, and goats, With the finest of the wheat—

And of the blood of grapes you drank wine. 15 “But Jeshurun grew fat and kicked—

You are grown fat, thick, and sleek—

Then he forsook God who made him,

And scorned the Rock of his salvation.

16 “They made Him jealous with strange gods; With abominations they provoked Him to anger. 17 “They sacrificed to demons who were not God, To gods whom they have not known,

New gods who came lately,

Whom your fathers did not dread.

18 “You neglected the Rock who begot you, And forgot the God who gave you birth.

19 “The LORD saw this, and spurned them

Because of the provocation of His sons and daughters. 20 “Then He said, ‘I will hide My face from them, I will see what their end shall be;

For they are a perverse generation,

Sons in whom is no faithfulness.

21 ‘They have made Me jealous with what is not God;

They have provoked Me to anger with their [e]idols. So I will make them jealous with those who are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation, 22For a fire is kindled in My anger,

And burns to the lowest part of Sheol,

And consumes the earth with its yield,

And sets on fire the foundations of the mountains. 23 ‘I will heap misfortunes on them;

I will use My arrows on them.

24‘They will be wasted by famine, and consumed by [g]plague And bitter destruction;

And the teeth of beasts I will send upon them, With the venom of crawling things of the dust. 25 ‘Outside the sword will bereave,

And inside terror—

Both young man and virgin,

The nursling with the man of gray hair.

26 ‘I would have said, “I will cut them to pieces, I will remove the memory of them from men,” 27Had I not feared the provocation by the enemy, That their adversaries would misjudge,

That they would say, “Our hand is [h]triumphant, And the LORD has not done all this.”’

28 “For they are a nation [i]lacking in counsel,

And there is no understanding in them.

29 “Would that they were wise, that they understood this, That they would discern their [j]future!

30 “How could one chase a thousand,

And two put ten thousand to flight,

Unless their Rock had sold them,

And the LORD had given them up?

31 “Indeed their rock is not like our Rock,

Even our enemies themselves judge this.

32 “For their vine is from the vine of Sodom,

And from the fields of Gomorrah;

Their grapes are grapes of poison,

Their clusters, bitter.

33 “Their wine is the venom of serpents,

And the deadly poison of cobras.

34 ‘Is it not laid up in store with Me,

Sealed up in My treasuries?

35 ‘Vengeance is Mine, and retribution,

In due time their foot will slip;

For the day of their calamity is near,

And the impending things are hastening upon them.’

36 “For the LORD will vindicate His people,

And will have compassion on His servants,

When He sees that their strength is gone,

And there is none remaining, bond or free.

37 “And He will say, ‘Where are their gods,

The rock in which they sought refuge?

38 ‘Who ate the fat of their sacrifices,

And drank the wine of their drink offering?

Let them rise up and help you,

Let them be your hiding place!

39 ‘See now that I, I am He,

And there is no god besides Me;

It is I who put to death and give life.

I have wounded and it is I who heal,

And there is no one who can deliver from My hand.

40 ‘Indeed, I lift up My hand to heaven,

And say, as I live forever,

41 If I sharpen My flashing sword,

And My hand takes hold on justice,

I will render vengeance on My adversaries,

And I will repay those who hate Me.

42 ‘I will make My arrows drunk with blood,

And My sword will devour flesh,

With the blood of the slain and the captives,

From the long-haired leaders of the enemy.’

43 “Rejoice, O nations, with His people; The redeemed Christians and Jews For He will avenge the blood of His servants,

And will render vengeance on His adversaries,

And will atone for His land and His people.”

44Then Moses came and spoke all the words of this song in the hearing of the  people, he, with Joshua the son of Nun. 45When Moses had finished speaking  all these words to all Israel, 46he said to them, “Take to your heart all the  words with which I am warning you today, which you shall command your  sons to observe carefully, even all the words of this law. 47 For it is not an idle  word for you; indeed it is your life. And by this word you will prolong your  days in the land, which you are about to cross the Jordan to possess.”

Hosea 1:10-11

10Yet the number of the sons of Israel (only 14 million out of 7 billion) Will be like the sand of the sea,

Which cannot be measured or numbered;

And in the place

Where it is said to them,

“You are not My people,”

It will be said to them,

“You are the sons of the living God.”(add the Christians for a higher number)  11And the sons of Judah and the sons of Israel will be gathered together, And they will appoint for themselves one leader, again both houses And they will go up from the land,

For great will be the day of Jezreel.

Hosea 3:4-5

4For the sons of Israel will remain for many days without king or  prince, without sacrifice or sacred pillar and without ephod or household  idols. 5Afterward the sons of Israel will return and seek the LORD their God  and David their king; and they will come trembling to the LORD and to His  goodness in the last days.

Hosea 12:9

9But I have been the LORD your God since the land of Egypt; I will make you live in tents again, Feast of Tabernacles!

As in the days of the appointed festival. Will we again repeat an Exodus?

Amos 9:11-15 The Restoration of Israel

11 “In that day I will raise up the fallen booth of David,

And wall up its breaches;

I will also raise up its ruins

And rebuild it as in the days of old;

12That they may possess the remnant of Edom

And all the nations who are called by My name,”

Declares the LORD who does this.

13 “Behold, days are coming,” declares the LORD,

“When the plowman will overtake the reaper

And the treader of grapes him who sows seed;

When the mountains will drip sweet wine

And all the hills will be dissolved.

14 “Also I will restore the captivity of My people Israel,

And they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them;

They will also plant vineyards and drink their wine,

And make gardens and eat their fruit.

15 “I will also plant them on their land,

And they will not again be rooted out from their land

Which I have given them,”

Says the LORD your God.

So where in the New Testament do we see this re-gathering of Israel?

Revelation 7:4-8

4And I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred and forty four thousand sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel:

5from the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand were sealed, from the tribe of  Reuben twelve thousand, from the tribe of Gad twelve thousand, 6from the  tribe of Asher twelve thousand, from the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand,  from the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand, 7from the tribe of Simeon  twelve thousand, from the tribe of Levi twelve thousand, from the tribe of  Issachar twelve thousand, 8from the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand, from

the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand, from the tribe of Benjamin, twelve  thousand were sealed.

Revelation 14:1-4

The Lamb and the 144,000 on Mount Zion

14 Then I looked, and behold, the Lamb was standing on Mount Zion, and with  Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His name and the name of His  Father written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice from heaven, like the sound  of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder, and the voice which I heard  was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps. 3 And they sang a new song  before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one  could learn the song except the one hundred and forty-four thousand who had been  purchased from the earth. 4These are the ones who have not been defiled with  women, for they have kept themselves chaste. These are the ones who follow the  Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased from among men as first  fruits to God and to the Lamb.

Here all 144,000 make it from wherever they were to Israel. My best guess is that probably 40- 42 days before Easter the Angel of the Lord will mark the 144,000, a time Christians have  identified as Lent. The Two Witnesses of Revelations 11 will also begin their ministry. This will  be the last 40 days of peace before the Anti-Christ shows up in Israel to claim he is the Jewish  Messiah. There will be a short window when the 144,000 will be able to travel safely into Israel.  I believe they will bring more of Israel with them at that time. Let’s suppose they succeed in  gathering an average of 100 believers with each of them that would be 14 million new  inhabitants in Israel. There are currently 7.5 million Israeli’s an increase of this magnitude would  require that the new inhabitants live in tents for 42 months. That would then be a link to the Feast  of Booths which currently only looks back at the Exodus. (Monte has the 144,000 scattered in  the wilderness all over the world in camps where Christians will join with them under a pillar of  fire/cloud. He has God feeding them manna and providing water. He is missing the fact they all  must meet Jesus in Jerusalem when he comes.) BTW this will be a God thing there could be over  500 million joined to Israel if that is what God wants!

Also it says they are chaste or virgins in vs 4, it could be these are young people say under 21  years old. What will people we know do if teens and twenties come to our doors and say we are  leaving to go to Israel tomorrow? Will we respond in faith and go?

For fun read Romans chapters 9-11 and see if  there are any hints about Israel and Judah  and Christians.

Hebrews 8:7-13 A New Covenant notice house of Israel and second covenant!

7For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion sought for a  second. 8For finding fault with them, He says,

“BEHOLD, DAYS ARE COMING, SAYS THE LORD,

WHEN I WILL EFFECT A NEW COVENANT

WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AND WITH THE HOUSE OF JUDAH;

9 NOT LIKE THE COVENANT WHICH I MADE WITH THEIR FATHERS

ON THE DAY WHEN I TOOK THEM BY THE HAND

TO LEAD THEM OUT OF THE LAND OF EGYPT;

FOR THEY DID NOT CONTINUE IN MY COVENANT,

AND I DID NOT CARE FOR THEM, SAYS THE LORD.

10 “FOR THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD:

I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR MINDS,

AND I WILL WRITE THEM ON THEIR HEARTS.

AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD,

AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.

11 “AND THEY SHALL NOT TEACH EVERYONE HIS FELLOW CITIZEN,

AND EVERYONE HIS BROTHER, SAYING, ‘KNOW THE LORD,’

FOR ALL WILL KNOW ME,

FROM THE LEAST TO THE GREATEST OF THEM.

12 “FOR I WILL BE MERCIFUL TO THEIR INIQUITIES,

AND I WILL REMEMBER THEIR SINS NO MORE.”

13 When He said, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming  obsolete and growing old is ready to disappear. How many times have we read this without fully  understanding what it meant? Is the house of Israel also the Christian believers.

Luke 21:34-36

34 “Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with  dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not  come on you suddenly like a trap; 35 for it will come upon all those who dwell  on the face of all the earth. 36But keep on the alert at all times, praying that  you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take  place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

So instead of expecting the pre-trib rapture or waiting for the mark of the  Beast, I am suggesting we keep ourselves free from the worries of this life  and look to Jesus. I am expecting the 144,000 to lead us to Israel at the  proper time for our way of escape. Therefore, pray at all times and preach  the gospel to all who will hear.

Imagine this: a pathway to spiritual insight that bridges centuries and transcends cultural shifts. It might sound like a tall order in today’s dynamic society, but this very connection can be achieved through a disciplined approach to scripture. Approaching the Bible with a literal mindset cultivates a profound understanding of its teachings while lending clarity to its timeless messages. Such an endeavor is not merely for the academicians or theologians; it is a journey accessible to anyone determined to delve deeper into their faith. As you embark on this quest, the practical wisdom of literal interpretation can anchor your understanding within a framework that respects the integrity and historical context of these sacred texts. While the world around us may change, this steadfast approach remains a constant, offering guidance that aligns with the beliefs shared by generations of believers. The importance of literal interpretation becomes clearer when addressing the complexities of theological questions or societal debates rooted in ancient teachings. One might consider it akin to laying a solid foundation upon which one’s faith is constructed. This approach not only supports the individual believer but also strengthens communal bonds by providing a common ground for discussing scriptural truths. By focusing on the direct meanings of the texts, you avoid the pitfalls of subjective interpretation that might arise from modern cultural biases. Thus, fidelity to the original text ensures that your study and reflection yield lessons applicable not just personally, but for the growth of your spiritual community as well. This approach doesn’t impose limitations; instead, it sets the stage for honest exploration and discussion, encouraging a robust engagement with scripture that can lead to a more profound and unified expression of faith. As we navigate our spiritual journeys together, embracing a literal perspective helps maintain the scriptural truths that have guided countless believers throughout history.

Challenges often lead us to seek a solid foundation on which to stand, especially in seasons where the road feels long and wearisome. While life's difficulties can cloud our vision, obscuring the pathway ahead, there lies an opportunity to tap into a resource that offers comfort and strength beyond the temporary nature of life's trials. As you navigate these trying times, it's comforting to know that the journey isn't one you walk alone. Anchored in the living word of God, hope emerges as a steadfast companion, illuminating the dark corners of uncertainty with the light of divine promises and faithfulness. As believers, the invitation to hope is not merely an emotional uplift but a call to ground ourselves in something more enduring than the fluctuations of everyday life. It's an assurance, deeply woven into the fabric of faith, that God's promises are unyielding and His character remains our anchor. Reflecting on this assurance, you find that hope is not just a fleeting sentiment; it is a powerful stance, a determined posture against the unpredictable winds of change. Each step taken on this faith-grounded journey is a testament to the incredible gift of biblical promises that, when embraced, transform surroundings not by altering circumstances themselves but by strengthening your spirit to rise above them, supported by the community of believers and undergirded by unwavering truths.
