The Great and Awesome Day of the Lord

By Joseph Kerwin

A Bible study regarding where we are in the End Times

Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.

Revelation 22:18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.

I undertake this project with the greatest caution knowing that the message is very important to the people of God. I will do my very best to use the scripture to do the speaking knowing that I am fallible. If you are a Christian and you are reading this and you find any error please contact me so I can change it. I have found that holding too rigid of a position is not a good thing and I have changed and modified my position several times over the last 2 years.

Joel 2:28-30

28 “It will come about after this

That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind;

And your sons and daughters will prophesy,

Your old men will dream dreams,

Your young men will see visions.

29 “Even on the male and female servants

I will pour out My Spirit in those days.

30 “I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth,

Blood, fire and columns of smoke.

31“The sun will be turned into darkness

And the moon into blood

Before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes.

As you see this is where I took my title from. I think every pre-trib Rapture preacher I've ever heard uses the tribulation as a sort of Hellfire damnation preaching to say if you get left behind it will be a time like hell on Earth, you do not want to be here during the tribulation. But I hope as you go through this Bible study you will see that there are very great and awesome things that are going to happen as well. I'm a strong believer in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, I do not believe they ever passed away, and in just a very short time this prophecy will be fulfilled concerning Joel 2, I call it the greater Pentecost. As you know Peter quoted Joel 2 when he was saying what was occurring on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2 where he preached and 3000 people accepted Jesus. As well as having the dreams, prophecies and Visions as it says here I'm hoping that it will be more like the first century church with gifts of tongues, interpretations,and healings.

2 Peter 2 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. 2 Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; 3 and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment; 5 and did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a preacher of righteousness, with seven others, when He brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6 and if He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction by reducing them to ashes, having made them an example to those who would live ungodly lives thereafter; 7 and if He rescued righteous Lot, oppressed by the sensual conduct of unprincipled men 8 (for by what he saw and heard that righteous man, while living among them, felt his righteous soul tormented day after day by their lawless deeds), 9 then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment, 10 and especially those who indulge the flesh in its corrupt desires and despise authority.Daring, self-willed, they do not tremble when they revile angelic majesties, 11 whereas angels who are greater in might and power do not bring a reviling judgment against them before the Lord. 12 But these, like unreasoning animals, born as creatures of instinct to be captured and killed, reviling where they have no knowledge, will in the destruction of those creatures also be destroyed, 13 suffering wrong as the wages of doing wrong. They count it a pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are stains and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, as they carouse with you, 14 having eyes full of adultery that never cease from sin, enticing unstable souls, having a heart trained in greed, accursed children; 15 forsaking the right way, they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 16 but he received a rebuke for his own transgression, for a mute donkey, speaking with a voice of a man, restrained the madness of the prophet.17 These are springs without water and mists driven by a storm, for whom the black darkness has been reserved. 18 For speaking out arrogant words of vanity they entice by fleshly desires, by sensuality, those who barely escape from the ones who live in error, 19 promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by what a man is overcome, by this he is enslaved. 20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. 21 For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment handed on to them. 22 It has happened to them according to the true proverb, “A dog returns to its own vomit,” and, “A sow, after washing, returns to wallowing in the mire.”

2 Peter 3 This is now, beloved, the second letter I am writing to you in which I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder, 2 that you should remember the words spoken beforehand by the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior spoken by your apostles.3 Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.” 5 For when they maintain

this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water, 6 through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water. 7 But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.8 But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. 9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. 11 Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! 13 But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.14 Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, 15 and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you, 16 as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. 17 You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness, 18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

So now I'd like to make comments on these scriptures .

  1. What if we have teachers today that have been lying to us and assuring us that we have nothing to be concerned about concerning the day of the Lord. They tell us that we will all be rescued by an imminent pre-tribulational rapture. They do not tell us that we need to guard our hearts and persevere till the end.
  2. Have you ever considered that Noah and Lot were rescued through a time of Great Destruction. If God had wanted to talk about a rescue through a Rapture he might have used Enoch and Elijah who were actually taken up to heaven alive. We will talk more about this later but there is a consistency in using Noah as the main example for the coming rescue.
  3. I will talk more about the thousand years as a day. I understand that the first and second century Christians in Israel would use this as part of the argument that Jesus came at the appointed time of 4,000 years on the Jewish calendar and he would return at the appointed time at 6,000 years.
  4. I have actually had non-Christian friends say to me that Jesus is not coming back because people have been talking about it for 2,000 years and it never happened. But I feel I have a similar problem with Christian friends that have chosen not to take the study of the return of Christ seriously.

2 Thessalonians 2

 Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, 2 that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. 5 Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? 6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. 8 Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; 9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, 10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. 11 For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, 12 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.

  1. As we go on I will be able to explain in more detail why I believe we are indeed in the end times. That tells me there is an apostasy coming which means Rebellion or falling away. I am writing this with the intention of informing people so that there will be fewer that fall away.
  2. We live in a time of deception and delusion. These should not affect the Christians because we have the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. All you have to do is look around at the woke movement and fake news to see what I am referring to.
  3. When I began to share this Bible study I had several people tell me that no man can know the day or the hour. I believe this is another end times deception. And I answer this question is in my appendix A.

Before I go on to more prophetic scriptures I might make mention of how I try to interpret things in the Bible. As a Christian I believe the spiritual world is actually more real than the physical world that we dwell in every day. So we are going to find scriptures about the day of the Lord where it is talking about the Stars falling from heaven. There is reason to believe that these Stars may be angels. So even though that is spiritual it is literal and real. I do not believe these are literally physical stars as we see in the night sky, because if they were, one star would wipe out the entire world. I have considered that it is possible that the thousands of satellites could be affected by either an EMP or a CME that would cause them to fall. With John the apostle not being aware of satellites I can see how if they actually saw them falling it would look like a falling star. If possible try to look at these Bible verses in context like you are seeing them for the first time. So now I would like us to take a look at probably the longest clearest end times prophecy in the Bible Matthew 24 & 25. Yes 25 is part of the message. They both are about the coming age.

Matthew 24 Jesus came out from the temple and was going away when His disciples came up to point out the temple buildings to Him. 2 And He said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone here will be left upon another, which will not be torn down.”3 As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”4 And Jesus answered and said to them, “See to it that no one misleads you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. 6 You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. 8 But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.9 “Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. 10 At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. 11 Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. 12 Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. 14 This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.15 “Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), 16 then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. 17 Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get the things out that are in his house. 18 Whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 But pray that your flight will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath. 21 For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will. 22 Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. 23 Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or ‘There He is,’ do not believe him. 24 For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. 25 Behold, I have told you in advance. 26 So if they say to you, ‘Behold, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out, or, ‘Behold, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe them. 27 For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. 28 Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.29 “But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. 31 And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other. 32 “Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; 33 so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door. 34 Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. 36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. 37 For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. 38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left.42 “Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. 43 But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. 44 For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will. 45 “Who then is the faithful and sensible slave whom his master put in charge of his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes. 47 Truly I say to you that he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48 But if that evil slave says in his heart, ‘My master is not coming for a long time,’ 49 and begins to beat his fellow slaves and eat and drink with drunkards; 50 the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour which he does not know, 51 and will cut him in pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 25

25 “Then the kingdom of heaven will be comparable to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish, and five were prudent. 3 For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, 4 but the prudent took oil in flasks along with their lamps. 5 Now while the bridegroom was delaying, they all got drowsy and began to sleep. 6 But at midnight there was a shout, ‘Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ 7 Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. 8 The foolish said to the prudent, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the prudent answered, ‘No, there will not be enough for us and you too; go instead to the dealers and buy some for yourselves.’ 10 And while they were going away to make the purchase, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut. 11 Later the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open up for us.’ 12 But he answered, ‘Truly I say to you, I do not know you.’ 13 Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour. 14 “For it is just like a man about to go on a journey, who called his own slaves and entrusted his possessions to them. 15 To one he gave five talents, to another, two, and to another, one, each according to his own ability; and he went on his journey. 16 Immediately the one who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and gained five more talents. 17 In the same manner the one who had received the two talents gained two more. 18 But he who received the one talent went away, and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money. 19 “Now after a long time the master of those slaves *came and *settled accounts with them. 20 The one who had received the five talents came up and brought five more talents, saying, ‘Master, you entrusted five talents to me. See, I have gained five more talents.’ 21 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’ 22 “Also the one who had received the two talents came up and said, ‘Master, you entrusted two talents to me. See, I have gained two more talents.’ 23 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’ 24 “And the one also who had received the one talent came up and said, ‘Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow and gathering where you scattered no seed. 25 And I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours.’ 26 “But his master answered and said to him, ‘You wicked, lazy slave, you knew that I reap where I did not sow and gather where I scattered no seed. 27 Then you ought to have put my money in the bank, and on my arrival I would have received my money back with interest. 28 Therefore take away the talent from him, and give it to the one who has the ten talents.’ 29 “For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away. 30 Throw out the worthless slave into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 31 “But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; 33 and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left. 34 “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; 36 naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? 38 And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? 39 When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’ 41 “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels; 42 for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink; 43 I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’ 44 Then they themselves also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Now let's comment on these verses. 8 But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. In this section Jesus mentioned several things that are going to happen such as Wars and famines and earthquakes. Having been a Christian for 52 years I can tell you such things have been happening over and over. I now want to talk about something the Lord showed me specifically about these days. I'm convinced that the Hamas war of October 7th 2023 is a fulfillment of the red horse of Revelation 6:1-2. Why would I say such a thing? Just by dumb luck I happen to have made a model of what I thought a 7-year tribulation might look like. My gut instinct told me that there are three Jewish holidays in the Fall that we do not have a Christian holiday that lines up with. I had quit looking for the White Horse of Revelation 6:1-2 because it did not make sense. Throughout history you would always have a war first and then a change in leadership. however with democracy it is possible that you could have someone take authority without having a war. I think in 2019 I read agenda 2030 which is the UN plan to get rid of 90% of us by the year 2030. As I read this I said to myself Jesus will not let this happen. So I thought possibly the red horse I was looking for was a war that would start in Israel would actually begin in the year 2023. I was sure that when Hamas attacked Israel this was the war I was looking for and within a day the pro Hamas movement was all over the world it seemed. The scripture says the rider on the red horse is given a great sword to take peace from the Earth so I saw that as a fulfillment. Then I went to see what Jesus had to say in Matthew 24:37-39. 37 For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. 38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Genesis 6:11-13 Now the earth was corrupt in the sight of God, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 God looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.

13 Then God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth.  My comment is if you go to the Biblegateway.com you can look at what these verses say in Hebrew. The word violence in verses 11 and 13 are Hamas in Hebrew. The other thing is that 39 says until the flood came and took them away. The name Hamas gave to their Infamous attack was the Al Asqua flood. When I first recognized that this was a literal fulfillment of the second seal in Revelation 6 I thought we were in the tribulation. Later God showed me that we were actually living in a 7-year period from 2020 to 2027 that is the time of the birth pains.

This Spring I found Dr Christian Widener and his YouTube presentation, THE DECREE EVERYONE MISSED: COUNTING DOWN TO 2027 AND THE RETURN OF JESUS. (start at 13 minutes) While I do not agree with him 100%, he correctly found that Sultan Sulieman has 2 plaques in Jerusalem for when he rebuilt it in 1537 AD. Counting 490 years brings us to 2027. The 70th week of this second fulfillment of Daniel 9:24-27 is 2020-2027. I believe this specifically is the time of Revelation 6 that I now call the time of the birth pangs. Also I will say that Noah had no idea when the flood was coming until the final seven days when he, his family, and the animals were on the ark. There is a similarity between the seven days he waited and the 7 years of the birth pangs.

10 At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. Looking back at what we read in second Thessalonians 2 the apostasy comes before the antichrist.

14 This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world. I believe in the greater day of Pentecost. I think if the 120 that were in the upper room in Jerusalem were able to reach their known world in their lifetime, then all the Christians that are in the world today could reach the Lost in 30 days. When the Holy Spirit indwells all Believers as it says in Joel 2:28-30.

15 “Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation This seems to imply that we may be here to see the abomination of desolation. As I understand the pre-trib and pre-wrath models they assume that we will be gone.

21 For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will. I believe I can prove that this tribulation is a three and a half year period not a 7-year period as I was always taught. more on that later.

 23 Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or ‘There He is,’ do not believe him. As I was thinking about this there is a time of persecution coming where I think it may be the Agents of the Antichrist may try to trick us to trap us. Possibly they are going to promise that we can see Jesus only to take us to a FEMA camp.

29 “But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Again this order of events is different than anything I've heard from the pre-trib or pre-wrath crowd. It looks like we're going to see the signs of cosmic disturbance then the sign of the Son of Man and then the angels will sound the trumpet in that order. I do believe the Rapture is associated more with a trumpet than with a thief in the night. I believe scripture teaches it is the day of the Lord that comes like a thief in the night.

 36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. After watching the Messiah 2030 project I like how they answered this question saying that the verb tense was the present tense. So both to the Prophet Daniel and to Jesus's apostles the message was not at this time but it will be revealed later. This is in their part 2 starting at about 1 hour and 9 minutes. See appendix A.

 5 Now while the bridegroom was delaying, they all got drowsy and began to sleep. It's possible that we have all been getting tired of waiting and falling asleep. But if I am correct and we have seen the first two horses of the Apocalypse of Revelation 6 then it is time to wake up. If Christian Widener is correct about the second fulfillment of the 490 year prophecy we are about to see the day of the Lord beginning the first quarter of 2027.

13 Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour.

31 “But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; This is the Judgment seat of Christ in Revelation 19 and 20.

Now we might do a little comparison with The Book of Revelation. I believe that Pastor Francis Chan was the first one that I heard that compared the White Horse of Revelation 6:1-2 with the events of Covid-19. The first time I heard him say that maybe we should look for a white coat instead of a white horse and maybe it really wasn't a bow it was a syringe and in Latin Crown is Corona, I literally laughed. But now that I had time to think about it I believe that he was onto something. As I've already said I am convinced that the Hamas War which is the longest war in Israel's modern history that started October 7th 2023 is a Bible war. It is associated with the red horse and it will be the fuse that will lead to the Ezekiel 38 War. As an aside I want to say I have read and believe what Joel Richardson wrote about in the Islamic Antichrist is correct and that that region that used to be the Ottoman Empire right around the Nation of Israel will definitely be forming a 10 Nation Islamic caliphate in the next year.( I consider Joel Richardson’s book a must read) The ruler that leads this caliphate will be the one we call the Antichrist but the Muslims will call him Al Mahdi. By the way I have studied a little bit on Islamic eschatology and their Al Mahdi has an enemy they call Dajjal. From the nearest I can tell Donald Trump as the leader of the great Satan, their name for the USA is the most likely candidate for Dajjal. The Muslims are totally trying to start either a Super Regional war or World War 3 so that their savior will come. When Donald Trump goes to the Arab Nations and tries to make peace this is the opposite of what they want. His close association with Israel is also a significant factor that would make them hate him. To the best that I can determine there will not be a superpower called the USA in 2 years from now. So either Donald Trump will be a follower of the Antichrist or more likely I believe he will be assassinated in the next two years. If that is not the case I would not be surprised that we see a civil war within the United States of America again before 2027. Going back to Revelation 6 things are fairly easy to understand until you get to the 6th seal. Here we see a great earthquake, the sun becomes black as sackcloth made of hair and the whole Moon became like blood and the stars of the sky fell to the Earth as a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken by a great wind. The sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and Island were moved out of their places. Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the commanders and the rich and the strong and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains and they said to the mountains and to the Rocks fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the Wrath of the Lamb; for the great day of Their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?

Usually when I hear a pre-tribulational rapture, seminary trained preacher teaching on Revelation 6 they will always say that the first four seals are the first half but they just cannot believe that the Sixth Seal is before the Great Tribulation. I usually hear these preachers and teachers say these Cosmic events are lining up with the bowls of Wrath that we see in Revelation 16. I disagree. As I read through Ezekiel 38, especially starting In verse 18 It will come about on that day, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” declares the Lord God, “that My fury will mount up in My anger. 19 In My zeal and in My blazing wrath I declare that on that day there will surely be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. 20 The fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all the creeping things that creep on the earth, and all the men who are on the face of the earth will shake at My presence; the mountains also will be thrown down, the steep pathways will collapse and every wall will fall to the ground. 21 I will call for a sword against him on all My mountains,” declares the Lord God. “Every man’s sword will be against his brother. 22 With pestilence and with blood I will enter into judgment with him; and I will rain on him and on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, a torrential rain, with hailstones, fire and brimstone. 23 I will magnify Myself, sanctify Myself, and make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am the Lord.”’

     I see the similarity between this passage in Ezekiel 38 and The Sixth Seal. The fact that there is a great earthquake and that there are signs in the heavens and that all men will know that the Lord is present. Note also Revelations 6 :17 for the great day of Their wrath has come and who is able to stand. It is a clear writing concerning the day of the Lord, the day of vengeance, the day of Wrath. As many times as I have read this it was only recently that I connected it to the day of the Lord. As an aside I have also seen some interesting studies that show a significant percentage, maybe 40% of Muslims have Hebrew blood based on their DNA. It may be that when they turn their swords against each other you are seeing Friendly Fire just like you saw in the Old Testament between the Midianites and Amorites where they killed one another.

While I'm here in Revelation 6 I want to make a comment about last year after the Hamas War I had to completely redo my timeline. Through my studies, I came to realize that Revelation 6 stands as a unit. The scroll does not open until you have the opening of the 7th seal. Also I saw that there were three terms for three and a half years used in chapters 11 to 13. So the three and a half years makes sense to all be running concurrently. When you read Revelation you can read the first seven chapters normally in sequence but once you get to chapter 8 everything is after the day of the Lord and it is a three and a half year period for the rest of the book until Revelations 19.

 I do have a few comments on what I see happening about the day of the Lord. I'm saying at the beginning of the year 2027 many Bible prophecies are going to be fulfilled in a very short time. I see Jesus helping Israel defeat their enemies in the Gog Magog War. There will be signs in the heavens as it talks about in Ezekiel 38 and Revelation 6: 12-17. I believe the 144,000 will be marked as it says in Revelation 7 during the interim. I believe a new Temple will be constructed in Jerusalem on the Temple mount. The Antichrist making a peace Covenant with Israel. I believe the Jews will reinstitute animal sacrifice however the Antichrist will stop it early on as it says in Daniel 9:26. Then there will be two witnesses, possibly Elijah and Moses, that will come on the scene and remove the Antichrist and the false prophet from the temple, Jerusalem, and Israel. However the rest of the world will worship the Beast, have a one world government, a one world religion, a one world economy with a cashless society that you cannot use unless you have the mark of the beast. There will be some good things that will happen concurrently with this. As I read the 12th chapter I believe that Satan will be cast down out of heaven. I believe that will lead to the Fulfillment of Joel 2: 28 to 30 where we will have the greater Pentecost all the Believers on Earth will be filled like the 120 were on the day of Pentecost. The 144,000 will then gather all the Believers from the world that are willing to travel to Israel and we will have the greater Exodus. I know this is news to many long time believers. The American Christian church has been laser focused on when the rapture is. I can only find about 15 verses in the entire Bible about the rapture. I have 20 pages from the Old Testament that I believe confirm that there will be a time when all Israel will be saved. The Jews and the Christians shall be reunited as one family under Christ. and we will all live in Israel. A key verse for this is Jeremiah 16:14-16 Therefore behold, days are coming, Declares the lord, when it will no longer be said, as the Lord lives, who brought up the sons of Israel out of the land of egypt, but, as the Lord lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of the north and from all the countries where he had banished them. for I will restore them to their own land which I gave to their fathers. behold I am going to send for many fishermen, declares the lord, and they will fish for them; and afterwards I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt for them from Every Mountain and every Hill and from the clefts of the rock. (See Appendix B)

In Revelation 12 where it says that Satan is cast down; And the serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood. But the Earth helped the woman and the Earth opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon poured out of his mouth. So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the Commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

That is not a flood of water as some suppose. I believe it is a flood of words and the words are that no person can buy, sell or trade with Israel; they are our enemy. But the land of Israel will be fertile and will help feed the inhabitants while the rest of the Nations suffer under the trumpet judgments. So Israel will be all alone however God will be their God and the two witnesses will effectively protect them for 1260 days. It may be that the six trumpet judgments are spoken forth as many times as the two witnesses choose. The seventh trumpet is not judgment, it's the Hallelujah Trumpet of the rapture. As I read Revelations 11 that is the clearest picture I can see of the rapture. The two witnesses are killed. They lay dead in the streets for three and a half days. They hear a voice from Heaven saying rise up, they stand up alive and then they are caught up into heaven and the seventh trumpet sounds. So the dead in Christ go first then we who are alive and remain will then go into heaven following them. Looking at Daniel 12 it's possible that there is another 75 days after this rapture when the seven bowls of Wrath are pulled out. I do agree with Dr Chuck Missler and Dr Michael Heiser about the war of Armageddon actually dealing with the armies of the Antichrist assembling in Medigo as they prepare to go up against the capital, Jerusalem. However Jesus meets them there and they are destroyed.

Ezekiel 37:15-17 Reunion of Judah and Israel

The word of the Lord came again to me saying, “And you, son of man, take for yourself one stick and write on it, ‘For Judah and for the sons of Israel, his companions’; then take another stick and write on it, ‘For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and all the house of Israel, his companions.’ Then join them for yourself one to another into one stick, that they may become one in your hand.

Usually I say I'm 40% Hebrew by Blood and 100% Christian by faith. It makes me sick to hear people in the church trying to make a big distinction between the Christians getting raptured but the Jews have to go through the tribulation. or they try to tell me that when the apostles were with Jesus on the Mount of Olives hearing the Olivet discourse that they represented Jews not the church therefore there's a separation. The same thing goes for replacement theology. This is all garbage. God's plan was always to bring the Jews and the Christians into one family under Messiah Jesus so when I talk about the greater Exodus it's for Jews and Christians both. Go back and look at Genesis 48 when Jacob is blessing the sons of Joseph and he gives Ephraim the greater blessing this was a precursor to the fullness of the Gentiles (nations) talked about in Romans 11:25.

Now I want us to look at a few Old Testament scriptures that get very little press in the imminent pre-trib rapture preaching. I believe these are being fulfilled either now or in the very near future.

Joel 2 The Promise of the Spirit

28“It will come about after this

That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind;

And your sons and daughters will prophesy,

Your old men will dream dreams,

Your young men will see visions.

29 Even on the male and female servants

I will pour out My Spirit in those days.

The Day of the Lord

30 “I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth,

Blood, fire and columns of smoke.

31“The sun will be turned into darkness

And the moon into blood

Before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes.

32“And it will come about that whoever calls on the name of the Lord

Will be delivered;

Joel 3:1“For behold, in those days and at that time,

When I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,

2 I will gather all the nations

And bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat.

Then I will enter into judgment with them there

On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel,

Whom they have scattered among the nations;

And they have divided up My land.

3“They have also cast lots for My people,

Traded a boy for a harlot

And sold a girl for wine that they may drink.

4 Moreover, what are you to Me, O Tyre, Sidon and all the regions of Philistia? Are you rendering Me a recompense? But if you do recompense Me, swiftly and speedily I will return your recompense on your head. 5 Since you have taken My silver and My gold, brought My precious treasures to your temples, 6 and sold the sons of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks in order to remove them far from their territory, 7 behold, I am going to arouse them from the place where you have sold them, and return your recompense on your head. 8 Also I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the sons of Judah, and they will sell them to the Sabeans, to a distant nation,” for the Lord has spoken.

9 Proclaim this among the nations:

Prepare a war; rouse the mighty men!

Let all the soldiers draw near, let them come up!

10 Beat your plowshares into swords

And your pruning hooks into spears;

Let the weak say, “I am a mighty man.”

11 Hasten and come, all you surrounding nations,

And gather yourselves there.

Bring down, O Lord, Your mighty ones.

12 Let the nations be aroused

And come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat,

For there I will sit to judge

All the surrounding nations.

13 Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe.

Come, tread, for the wine press is full;

The vats overflow, for their wickedness is great.

14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision!

For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.

15 The sun and moon grow dark

And the stars lose their brightness.

16 The Lord roars from Zion

And utters His voice from Jerusalem,

And the heavens and the earth tremble.

But the Lord is a refuge for His people

And a stronghold to the sons of Israel.

17 Then you will know that I am the Lord your God,

Dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain.

So Jerusalem will be holy,

And strangers will pass through it no more.

18 And in that day

The mountains will drip with sweet wine,

And the hills will flow with milk,

And all the brooks of Judah will flow with water;

And a spring will go out from the house of the Lord

To water the valley of Shittim.

19 Egypt will become a waste,

And Edom will become a desolate wilderness,

Because of the violence done to the sons of Judah,

In whose land they have shed innocent blood.

20 But Judah will be inhabited forever

And Jerusalem for all generations.

21 And I will avenge their blood which I have not avenged,

For the Lord dwells in Zion.

For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem

There will be those who escape,

As the Lord has said,

Even among the survivors whom the Lord calls.

Amos 1:1 The words of Amos, who was among the sheepherders from Tekoa, which he envisioned in visions concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam son of Joash, king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.

2 He said,

“The Lord roars from Zion

And from Jerusalem He utters His voice;

And the shepherds’ pasture grounds mourn,

And the summit of Carmel dries up.”

3 Thus says the Lord,

“For three transgressions of Damascus and for four

I will not revoke its punishment,

Because they threshed Gilead with implements of sharp iron.

4 “So I will send fire upon the house of Hazael

And it will consume the citadels of Ben-hadad.

5 “I will also break the gate bar of Damascus,

And cut off the inhabitant from the valley of Aven,

And him who holds the scepter, from Beth-eden;

So the people of Aram will go exiled to Kir,”

Says the Lord.

6 Thus says the Lord,

“For three transgressions of Gaza and for four

I will not revoke its punishment,

Because they deported an entire population

To deliver it up to Edom.

7 “So I will send fire upon the wall of Gaza

And it will consume her citadels.

8 “I will also cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod,

And him who holds the scepter, from Ashkelon;

I will even unleash My power upon Ekron,

And the remnant of the Philistines will perish,”

Says the Lord God.

9 Thus says the Lord,

“For three transgressions of Tyre and for four

I will not revoke its punishment,

Because they delivered up an entire population to Edom

And did not remember the covenant of brotherhood.

10 “So I will send fire upon the wall of Tyre

And it will consume her citadels.”

11 Thus says the Lord,

“For three transgressions of Edom and for four

I will not revoke its punishment,

Because he pursued his brother with the sword,

While he stifled his compassion;

His anger also tore continually,

And he maintained his fury forever.

12 “So I will send fire upon Teman

And it will consume the citadels of Bozrah.”

13 Thus says the Lord,

“For three transgressions of the sons of Ammon and for four

I will not revoke its punishment,

Because they ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead

In order to enlarge their borders.

14 “So I will kindle a fire on the wall of Rabbah

And it will consume her citadels

Amid war cries on the day of battle,

And a storm on the day of tempest.

15 “Their king will go into exile,

He and his princes together,” says the Lord.

Isaiah 17:1 The oracle concerning Damascus.

“Behold, Damascus is about to be removed from being a city

And will become a fallen ruin.

Jeremiah 49 Prophecy against Elam

34 That which came as the word of the Lord to Jeremiah the prophet concerning Elam, at the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying:

35 “Thus says the Lord of hosts,

‘Behold, I am going to break the bow of Elam,

The finest of their might.

36 ‘I will bring upon Elam the four winds

From the four ends of heaven,

And will scatter them to all these winds;

And there will be no nation

To which the outcasts of Elam will not go.

37 ‘So I will shatter Elam before their enemies

And before those who seek their lives;

And I will bring calamity upon them,

Even My fierce anger,’ declares the Lord,

‘And I will send out the sword after them

Until I have consumed them.

38 ‘Then I will set My throne in Elam

And destroy out of it king and princes,’

Declares the Lord.

39 ‘But it will come about in the last days

That I will restore the fortunes of Elam,’”

Declares the Lord.

As we read Ezekiel 38 we know it is the neighbor countries that are going to attack Israel and the latter days. These verses that I have just quoted were written a very long time ago but I believe we are seeing the Fulfillment of them in our times. I also see all the war and turmoil of these nations is part of Matt. 24:6-7.

I said I would mention the Fulfillment of the second Peter 3::8, 1000 years as a day and a day as a thousand years. Basically this goes back to studying the day of the Lord. There have been Christians through the Ages that taught God created the Earth in six days. He rested on the 7th. Man would have 6,000 years to rule on the Earth, Jesus was coming back to rule it for a thousand years after that. In terms of Ages from Adam to Abraham was the age of the Patriarchs which lasted 2,000 years. From Abraham to Jesus first coming was the Abrahamic Covenant with the Mosaic law for 2000 years. and then from Jesus' first coming to His second coming would be 2,000 years. To the best that I can tell Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist in the year 27 AD and he had a three and a half year Ministry ending with his death burial and Resurrection in 30 AD. Luke 4 gives the story that when Jesus went into the synagogue of Nazareth after being tempted by Satan. he stood up and read from the Isaiah scroll chapter 61

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners; 2 To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, 3 To grant those who mourn in Zion, giving them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting.

Jesus read the first verse, but stopped short of reading the whole sentence. By doing this I believe he foreshadowed that he was completing one half of Daniel's 70th week during his ministry on Earth.  This year I did a study on the words that represent three and a half years; 1260 days, 42 months, and a time times and half a Time. When you do this they are only found In chapters 11 to 13 of Revelation and Daniel 7:24 9:25 and 12. I don't know why I didn't see this before but I believe this is a clear indication that the second half of Daniel's week is the Great Tribulation lasting three and a half years.

Imagine this: a pathway to spiritual insight that bridges centuries and transcends cultural shifts. It might sound like a tall order in today’s dynamic society, but this very connection can be achieved through a disciplined approach to scripture. Approaching the Bible with a literal mindset cultivates a profound understanding of its teachings while lending clarity to its timeless messages. Such an endeavor is not merely for the academicians or theologians; it is a journey accessible to anyone determined to delve deeper into their faith. As you embark on this quest, the practical wisdom of literal interpretation can anchor your understanding within a framework that respects the integrity and historical context of these sacred texts. While the world around us may change, this steadfast approach remains a constant, offering guidance that aligns with the beliefs shared by generations of believers. The importance of literal interpretation becomes clearer when addressing the complexities of theological questions or societal debates rooted in ancient teachings. One might consider it akin to laying a solid foundation upon which one’s faith is constructed. This approach not only supports the individual believer but also strengthens communal bonds by providing a common ground for discussing scriptural truths. By focusing on the direct meanings of the texts, you avoid the pitfalls of subjective interpretation that might arise from modern cultural biases. Thus, fidelity to the original text ensures that your study and reflection yield lessons applicable not just personally, but for the growth of your spiritual community as well. This approach doesn’t impose limitations; instead, it sets the stage for honest exploration and discussion, encouraging a robust engagement with scripture that can lead to a more profound and unified expression of faith. As we navigate our spiritual journeys together, embracing a literal perspective helps maintain the scriptural truths that have guided countless believers throughout history.

Challenges often lead us to seek a solid foundation on which to stand, especially in seasons where the road feels long and wearisome. While life's difficulties can cloud our vision, obscuring the pathway ahead, there lies an opportunity to tap into a resource that offers comfort and strength beyond the temporary nature of life's trials. As you navigate these trying times, it's comforting to know that the journey isn't one you walk alone. Anchored in the living word of God, hope emerges as a steadfast companion, illuminating the dark corners of uncertainty with the light of divine promises and faithfulness. As believers, the invitation to hope is not merely an emotional uplift but a call to ground ourselves in something more enduring than the fluctuations of everyday life. It's an assurance, deeply woven into the fabric of faith, that God's promises are unyielding and His character remains our anchor. Reflecting on this assurance, you find that hope is not just a fleeting sentiment; it is a powerful stance, a determined posture against the unpredictable winds of change. Each step taken on this faith-grounded journey is a testament to the incredible gift of biblical promises that, when embraced, transform surroundings not by altering circumstances themselves but by strengthening your spirit to rise above them, supported by the community of believers and undergirded by unwavering truths.
